Training A Top Class Midfielder Clinic: VA Beach [June 1, 2013]
The VYSA Technical Department will hold a “Training a Top-Class Midfielder” clinic Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Baylake Pines School, Virginia Beach, VA.
US Soccer C License 2013
The National "C" License course is designed to introduce concepts that are targeted toward coaching players ages 11 – 16. The course focus is on getting coaches to think about, discuss, and recognize the recurring concepts or themes that exist in soccer. Candidates will be challenged to find ways to offer constructive guidance to players while also allowing players to experience the game for themselves.

Change to the US Soccer "D" License
Beginning January 1, 2013, waivers into the D License Course will NO LONGER be accepted. Even if a coach has a previously-approved waiver, it will no longer be considered valid.
Holding the US Soccer “E” Certificate/License for a minimum of six months will be the only prerequisite for the “D” course. US Soccer is currently updating and making revisions to improve the “D” License course. Please check back frequently for updates.
Also beginning January 1, 2013, fees for the D Course will increase to $160 for members and $210 for non-members.

VYSA Coaching Education Instructors
Each instructor of the VYSA Coaching Education Staff will hold either an US Soccer ’A’ or US Soccer ’B’ License, will be experienced in the practical application of the National Youth License and have successfully completed an apprentice program.

New Fee Schedule beginning January 1, 2013
The 2010-2011 VYSA budget approved by the VYSA Membership this past June was approved with an increase in Coaching Education course fees. In addition, VYSA subsidizes the cost of Coaching Education, which results in reduced course fees. As a result, there is a greater fee for non VYSA members (those who are not members of a VYSA member organization, regardless of residence).
